Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before beginning services if you are uninsured or paying out of pocket.
What a Good Faith Estimate includes A Good Faith Estimate outlines the services expected to be provided, anticipated session frequency, cost per session, and an estimated total cost range for the anticipated course of treatment. It is not a contract and does not lock you into a specific number of sessions. Actual costs may vary depending on the length of treatment and any changes to your care.
Current session rates Individual therapy: $175 per 50-minute session Couples therapy: $200 per 50-minute session
How to request To request a Good Faith Estimate before your first session, include that request in your initial inquiry. A Good Faith Estimate will be provided before services begin.
Right to dispute If you receive a bill that is substantially higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. For more information visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
