For adults who know what they need to do and still can't make it happen. Including women diagnosed later in life, people who suspect ADHD but were never assessed, and parents whose systems stopped working after a baby.

What ADHD can look like in adults

Adult ADHD rarely matches the stereotype. Many women aren't recognized until adulthood, often after a new job, a move, or a baby raises the load past what their workarounds can carry.

  • Knowing exactly what to do and being unable to start.

  • Running on deadlines and adrenaline, then crashing.

  • Losing track of time, or being consumed by watching it.

  • Holding it together at work and falling apart at home, or the reverse.

  • Being called lazy while feeling exhausted from trying.

  • A mind that's either racing or blank, with little in between.

How I approach ADHD in therapy

ADHD isn't a willpower problem, so therapy that boils down to "try harder" doesn't help. The work is practical and specific to your life.

Understand how your brain actually works

Attention, motivation, and time work differently with ADHD. Knowing how yours works changes what's worth trying.

Build systems in your real week

We test strategies against your actual schedule, job, and household, and change them when they don't hold.

Work on the shame, too

Years of being told you're capable but not trying leave a mark. That gets attention alongside the practical work.

Coordinate with your prescriber

I don't prescribe medication. With your written permission, I'll coordinate with your psychiatrist or primary care provider.

When ADHD overlaps with other things

ADHD rarely travels alone. If any of these are part of the picture, we work on them together rather than in separate silos.

  • ADHD and anxiety: worry that starts as a way to stay on top of things, then takes over.

  • ADHD and OCD: checking and certainty-seeking that can look like carefulness.

  • ADHD and eating: overeating or binge eating tied to missed meals, impulsivity, or stimulation.

  • ADHD after a baby: when the systems that worked before parenthood stop working.

What working together looks like

Sessions are 50 minutes by secure video, for adults located in Arizona. They're $200, private pay, and I work with Mentaya so you can seek out-of-network reimbursement.

We decide together how often to meet. Some people start weekly and spread out; others don't need weekly at all. Scheduling is flexible, with a standing time if you'd like one. More about how I work.

Questions about ADHD therapy

Do I need an ADHD diagnosis to work with you?

No. Whether you've been diagnosed, suspect ADHD, or aren't sure, we start with what's actually happening.

Do you prescribe ADHD medication?

No. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, not a prescriber. With your permission, I coordinate with whoever manages your medication.

Do you work with women diagnosed as adults?

Yes. Many women aren't recognized until adulthood, often after years of being described as anxious, scattered, or "not living up to potential."

I'm already on medication. Is therapy still useful?

Medication and therapy tend to work on different pieces. Many people use both.

Do you take insurance?

Not for Arizona clients. Sessions are $200, private pay, with out-of-network reimbursement support through Mentaya.

Is ADHD therapy virtual?

Yes, always. Sessions are by secure video for adults located in Arizona.
